Education
I have been working as a private English tutor in Doha since September 2017. My role requires me to prepare and administer English lessons to children and adults, provide them with knowledge of grammar, pronunciation, reading, and other skills. I also assist students with their English speaking at both elementary and professional levels and utilize textbooks and online resources for planning exercises and activities. Prior to this, I worked as a manager at a nursery in Doha where I designed lesson plans and schedules to prepare children for attending educational institutions in the future. I also assisted teachers and filled in for them where necessary. I planned motivating and stimulating activities to develop children's learning abilities and ensured the health, safety, and well-being of all the children. In addition to this, I managed teachers and their assistants, provided feedback and guidance for lesson plans, teaching methods, and program goals. I also spent a few months working as an Au pair and English tutor for a family in Italy which involved supervising and caring for two girls under ten and helping improve their English. I planned educational activities and also tutored the adults in conversational English. In addition to all of this, I also have 4 years of experience working as an English tutor at Northern Arizona University where I helped my classmates improve their written work, assisted international colleagues with their English fluency, and observed developments in speaking and writing skills.
Experience
I obtained a Bachelor of Science in History with a minor in Anthropology from Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, AZ, USA). I took a variety of courses, including Geography, Religious Studies, Political Science, Sociology, and Educational Psychology. However, my favorites were History, English, Geography, and Anthropology. I graduated in 2014 with a 3.81 GPA. In 2015, I received TEFL/TESL/TESOL certification from Oxford Seminars.
