Omar I.
Private tutor in Doha, Qatar
Education
Master of Engineering in Operations Research at Cornell University. January 1991 Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering at Boston University. May 1989
Experience
I am an American engineer with more than 25 years of work experience in the high technology industry in the USA and an Ivy League academic education. I have personally been teaching my 2 daughters for the last 10 years and they are straight A students in addition to teaching in general for 5 years. As part of my education, I naturally took all the Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability classes. I am respectful of the student's abilities and encourage students to think for themselves. I logically and gradually build up the complexity hand in hand with the student's growing confidence. I am a results oriented type of tutor. I believe that teaching is not about throwing concepts at a student, but rather it's about instilling knowledge and making sure the concept is understood. The proof is always in the student's school results where the student's grades are the most relevant measure of achieving progress. I would consider myself successful only if the student is successful.
